Friday night at Myst was crazzyyyy! A lovely crowd along with The IKKI twins being in attendance made it extra special. With a whole night of dancing on the center of the floor, and an occasional kiss from the twins, everyone had their eyes glued. Playboy playmate DJ Crystal Ellis was also in the house and she absolutely crushed it on the 1’s and 2’s.

The Premier W Hotel in Scottsdale appropriately held the celebration of only; the 2nd year of the Valley’s Premier Special Events Firm; Steve Levine Entertainment aka SLE. Most recently Steve and Company has diversified its market share probably just as well, if not better than Alan Greenspan did with his personally shares and stocks back in the 80’s or in 2002 for that matter. With recent money-making-moves, non-profit events, and the unexpected and often at times amusing; Arizona Nightlife Industry Association awards; SLE’s 2-Year was bigger than most Corporations’ Christmas parties and 5-Year Anniversaries combined. A Champaign and Sushi by Roku reception began the festivities with the Valley’s multifaceted dance-band ‘Static’ who broke hips and are still making ankles soar.
Right on queue the danced party and extravaganza began as bunches of seasoned and invite-only-party people adjourned to the pool deck and main entertainment arena, aka the Shade Lounge. At the entrance of the lounge celebrities & guests alike were pampered and entertained immediately. Photos and a classy SLE & Blue Media milieu brought an addition element to the beautiful people in attendance. Again speaking of SLE’s diversification measures, it’s only appropriate that their own party be of quality and classic party hosting provisions. The multi-versed, Mashed-House DJ Circle was in full effect as was the Apollo; a special guest all the way from Las Vegas who’s known as a pick-pocket magician, extraordinaire.
Highlights of the evening (not to be outdone of course) were the complimentary hand massage by Bliss Spa. That alone made my night…with the recent dry weather we’ve been having, the free hand butter crème was just what I needed. But Steve also made in snow that night with a Live Ice Sculpting Performance by Innovative Ice. I had two do a ‘double take’ two fully realize the depth and detail two produce something so sick. Last as not least the night was capped off with a fashion show featuring couture beachwear from Beach Bunny Swimwear. At to which end the models promenaded to the thoughtfully proportioned caked in the form of a cupcake tower created by Variations Bakery. I known SLE will still be around for many years to come…and if I’m this impressed with a 2-year, then achieving his ultimate 5-year and 10-year business plans should bring what, flights to the moon and back? Seriously though good show and congratulations!

Durke Durke Did Did it it Again Again…with Zuma packed to the rafters, all to celebrate the old place where liquor came quicker on Saturday nights…when apparently many of us were still freshman. But any rate, it was a diverse and sexy crowd as usual when Durke Durke gels up the hair and Guile’s people out of the wood work. DJ Circle doing his thing as usual and Napkin Nights was stoked on being a part of Tempe’s history. (We archive these albums for years, so when we forget who or why we were celebrating Jerry’s b-day, come back and these photos will bring it back, bring it back, bring it back, bring it!

The long lost archives of that mystical evening with the girls of 7th Heaven at Cream Stereo Lounge has finally been uncovered. After a mining excavation over the past few weeks and some serious near fatalities, this archival collection of some of hottest ladies are illuminated against the wonderful lighting and stark white background. I left for a 3 hour tour and when I returned it was 3 weeks later. Was this real? Had I been lost? Was I fooled? Was I dead? This must be heaven, 7th heaven!

Sol Martinez, Mara, Sonque des Fleurs, and Disco Da seamlessly drop all the beats you wanna here yet you’re consistently surprised with sicker bass lines and remixed versions. What a perfect highlight to have Homegrown Eddie Amador dropping some of his newest, never before heard tracks along with Papa Joe performing live. Most definitely there was a lot of LOVE NOW at Bar Smith! Apparently there are people who still think downtown Phoenix rarely has good house music, to that I say you need to FUSE your feet Friday nights to downtown Phoenix’s Bar Smith. Who knows, you might end up dancing on the 23rd floor licking the wings of incoming planes.
